About Us

Sumedha in essence started as an education support programme through which a dynamic network of students-parents-teachers from the primary level of education up to post graduation have been formed. This is supported by a strong nexus within the community of various stakeholders including the local Government officials, policy makers, elected representatives, academicians and aspiring youngsters. The growth of this programme was extremely promising and rapid. Today, Sumedha has benefited over 2, 50,000 students and 3000 teachers from about 300 schools.e.

Sumedha (HEP) was inaugurated on 21st May 2017 by Hon. Educational minister, Sri. Prof. C. Ravindranath under the chairmanship of Hon. M.L.A E. T Taison Master at O.L.F High School, Mathilakam. All the schools in the constituency constitute Sumedha clubs at the very outset of every academic year and after the official inauguration of the same, various activities undertaken by the clubs begin formally.

MISSION

To inspire children to aspire by understanding their true potential and skills and then to provide them with the requisite resources and opportunities to aid in its realisation.





Objectives

  • Provide necessary assistance for students from primary to post graduate levels to tackle competitive exams.
  • Discover creative and hidden talents in students and aid them to excel in their respective spheres of aptitude.
  • Develop an aim and focus among students from primary levels itself, by giving them necessary guidance through personality development classes and career guidance.
  • To develop excellence and holistic development in students with the aid of technology thus making them more creative.
  • Introduce to students, diverse fields of higher education/ jobs and to provide them with the essential guidance to achieve the same.
